Holy Ballz Batman! I have been slightly remiss in writing. Sometimes, life just gets away from me and sometimes I just have nothing to say. (Yes, that is possible.) It's been a little bit of both. The good news is I am rockin' and rollin' this month. I have officially crossed off three items on my 2012 to Do and have started two more. I certainly have my productivity pants on lately...and I'm lovin' it! Here's the lowdown.
I am ecstatic to announce that I will be joining the Board of Directors at Blackfrairs Theatre. Theatre is my passion. I love Blackfriars Theatre. I want to give back and make a difference in my community. So this was a no brainer for me when the idea was presented to me last year. Since I had moved, it never came to fruition but now that I'm back it has! I am honored to have been voted in and so looking forward to making a difference in the way that means most to me.
I am taking Pilates again! Y-E-S! I can't tell you how good it feels. After the first class I couldn't sit or stand the next day without a groaning in agony. My studio is Evolution Pilates. They are the bomb. Check them out!
I accomplished my next goal about 2 weeks ago. Had it not been for Ian, I probably would have never crossed this one off. I tried salmon! And guess what? MUCH to my astonishment, I actually liked it! I was thankful to have a fish officianado with me. He had me taste it cooked well done which made a difference. I think if it had been slimy and mushy I would have hurled. But it wasn't "fishy" at all. The only fish I can tolerate is tuna drowning in mayonnaise with a slice of cheddar. I think I can now add salmon to the list...hold the the mayo.
I have OFFICIALLY registered for the Rochester marathon. I am excited and vomitous about this. I am doing the half marathon to start since I am a newbie. In an effort to actually complete this and not die trying, I am taking it in baby steps. I will first run a 5K at the end of April! I have officially registered for this too. I have an awesome running coach, I got my brand new fancy running sneakers and have completed one full week of training. I am well on my way to completing this goal! Although I'll have to wait till September to cross it off the list.
1. Run a half marathon. ( Registered! )
A new afghan is started and I adore it! My new pattern is tricky and without my Mom I would have never ever figured it out. Ever. But I have and it's beautiful! Crafts are my fave. I picked out the most gorgeous off-white silky yarn. This blanket will be the first addition to my new house, (once I get that). Can't wait to finish it and post pictures!
16. Crochet my third blanket ever. Try a new pattern. ( Started! )
I still have several things on my "to do" list but the year is young. I am quite content with the progress I have made thus far. I have a feeling I'll be adding to this list very soon. Looking ahead, I am eagerly awaiting the start of rehearsals for Parade in a couple of weeks. It's an amazing opportunity and I'm pumped to begin the artistic journey. (More on Parade in a future posting.) Happy Sunday peeps!

Janine..
